While Matchking has many clients who operate in the technology and financial services markets we specialise in identifying candidates with different backgrounds who have the necessary marketing skills and experience to switch sector. When a candidate makes contact with Matchking, either by sending in a CV or picking up the phone it is the start of a long-term relationship. Some of our candidates have made two or three career moves through us, and many have become clients.
Because of the unique relationship we have with our network of clients who operate in fast-moving, dynamic markets we can always find the right challenge to utilise existing skills, but also provide some stretch and new experience, often in different market sectors.
What you can expect:
- We welcome CVs from marketers whatever your level or background. Our approach is always to make contact, sometimes to discuss immediate opportunities but often candidates use us as a career advisory and mentoring service until the right opportunity is identified.
- We encourage personal contact through an initial interview, which provides a good understanding of each individual's aspirations and ambitions.
- Before a candidate is introduced to a client, there is a thorough briefing process which includes full job descriptions including background material on the organisation and sector. We always use the candidate's own CV to emphasise individuality and will provide guidance and coaching to ensure good presentation at interview.
- During the appointment process, full updates are made to ensure applicants know which stage has been reached.
- We provide advice on negotiation of remuneration and benefits packages.
- There is also a post appointment appraisal process for both client and candidate to ensure that a smooth transition to the new position has been made.
